Splendid times have come upon me.
i got rejected from a prestigious company only to realize that had i only tweaked my CV a little bit, my chances would have improved dramatically. Still ,no body knows how to please an Hr except the HR's wife, so there isnt really much that i could do..
For my next endeavour, lets keep things simple, lets keep iun mind one thing..LYING WORKS..It worked 100 years ago when Dhirubhai was convincing the Government to release permits, it worked when Azim Premji set about to begin a Farming and Agriculture venture that eventually became Wipro (Funny!). It also works every day when some politicain asomewhere in this wrold opens his mouth. Lying works. Guess if one needs to convince another person how good you are in under 10 minutes, all you can afford to do is paint a n epic picture of your grandeur with speacial big words. But then again, as advised by my seniors, that big words dont really help in creating a good impression. Well then how are you supposed to explain huge concepts in Small spaces of time??
I have come across many inspirational movies in recent times, the most recent being 127 hours, and it tells you how a human being, when pushed to a corner can literally eat his way out of there to survive. Now i might be wrong here butthe Bible claimsthat the Seven sins are some of the strongest emotions or passions one may feel in life. The only "good" emotion that one possesses that can be as strong as the other sins is Love.
I would have to say, Survival has to be a part of this list. Man can overcome any of the sins to survive, to simply desire to live a moment longer. And when pushed in corners he may commit all the above sins but all in the name of survival.
Is survival an emotion or an instinct. Sure, one may argue that survival is an instantaneous feeling that one feels when pitted against actual or surmised Threats. But do we not basically survive everyday? do we not go to wrok even though we want not to?Do we not go to college, sit through lectures to simply survive in this competitive world? The early man was at a risk of mortality due to the harsh outer conditions and had to be constantly on the prowl for new dwellings, food spots etc. Are we so different today? Do we not study frantically for a safer job?Do we not panic when our paycheck becomes due? Are we not in mortal danger when our Employer companies(Canopies) crash down upon us?
In a manner one neanderthal would have an advantage over another by the size of his club. Do we not compare our Phones, their strengths thereof..
in this age..how are we that different from our ancestors?
Who are we to stand erect proudly?
